Let us get introduced to Aleksandras Stulginskis, the youngest leader of a nation in Interwar Europe! Throughout the entire decade of intensive political activity, Aleksandras Stulginskis not only happened to be a witness of the restoration of Independent Lithuania, but also served as a signatory of the Act of Independence (at the age of 32!). He ended up as the leader of the young State as the Speaker of the Constituent Assembly and the President of the Republic (then, he was only 35!). It is hardly possible to challenge the claim that Aleksandras Stulginskis belongs to the group of the most successful political leaders in the history of Lithuania. The name of Aleksandras Stulginskis is frequently mentioned in the context of the most outstanding achievements of the First Republic of Lithuania, such as the land reform and the currency reform, the retrieval of Klaipėda Region, the international recognition of Lithuania, etc., but it is not common to take a closer look how – and in such a short timeframe – a young agronomist managed to reach such dizzying heights. Before even considering anything nefarious, we should reveal that the path taken by Stulginskis does not reek of opportunism, scandals, or conspiracies. In this exhibition, we invite you to take a closer look of the personality of Aleksandras Stulginskis, his objectives and dreams, the world outlook and values he was representing, the people surrounding him, the institutions where he gained education, the political organizations serving as his stepping stones in his steep upward trail, as well as many other aspects. Will it help reveal the secret of a stunning political career? The narration prepared by the historians and curators of the museum is accompanied with a more intimate glance at the personality of Aleksandras Stulginskis as the audio guide speaks on behalf of Aldona Stulginskaitė, his only daughter. Together with the story of Aldona, we invite you to follow through all the stages of life of Aleksandras Stulginskis which, in the words of his contemporary Mykolas Krupavičius, he lived "with honor, and for the benefit of Lithuania"!
