The exposition was mounted to mark a jubilee year for the modern state of Lithuania and for its modern diplomacy. Lithuania celebrated it’s 90 years anniversary since the proclamation of February 16 Act and also since the formation of Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the 110th anniversary since the birth of Stasys Lozoraitis, Foreign Minister and Lithuania’s diplomatic chief.
The four rooms are dedicated to the correspondent issues: the first room tells the story of the official diplomacy and foreign diplomatic corpus in Kaunas between 1918 and 1940; the second follows the establishment of Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the third is dedicated to Stasys Lozoraitis, the chief of Lithuanian diplomatic corpus; and the fourth room covers the aspects of unofficial diplomacy, from famous hunts and balls to intimate companionships.
