The exhibition, dedicated to the conscious women of the First Republic of Lithuania (1918–1940), was opened on the eve of the State’s Day. It offers a survey on women’s activities in political, social and cultural spheres. Two outstanding contemporary Lithuanian women politicians opened the exhibition: Speaker of Seimas Irena Degutienė and MEP Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė. Other significant figures were present as well: Minister of National Defense Rasa Juknevičienė, Mayor of Kaunas Andrius Kupčinskas, other members of Seimas, active women from various women’s organizations.
